Charles Nelson

Charlie Nelson currently serves as the Managing Partner of Virideas Management, an advisory, project development, and investment firm focused on commercialization of hard technologies and development of assets. Charlie has a proven track record of developing and deploying successful strategic, operational, and technical strategies leading to commercialization. Prior to Virideas, Charlie served as Chief Business Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Cemvita, where he guided the restructuring of the business into it’s core bio-oil feedstock technology and led the spin-off of two companies, Endolith and Gold H2, which he served as President and CEO of. Prior to Cemvita, he helped build the ecosystem around Greyrock Energy as the Chief Commercial Officer, during which he drove the creation of subsidiary technology and operating companies including the notable e-fuels company, Infinium, and sustainable specialty chemicals company, ClearShift. During this tenure there he led the development efforts resulting in three FOAK assets into commercial operations today. He began his career developing assets at MarkWest Energy Partners, where he led multiple successful projects including pipeline, terminal, processing, and rail assets. Charlie holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University.
