We have been hard at work this summer, and we want to show off our awesome founders! Meet the startups in Class 11 of OwlSpark and Class 2 of BlueLaunch. Our #FounderSpotlightSeries continues with 610 Smokehouse from Rice University BlueLaunch!

I started the business because I love to create unique dishes and to share my passion for food with others. We are looking to provide businesses and individuals access to high-quality, fully-cooked, slow-smoked meats at a reasonable price.

My biggest takeaways from BlueLaunch are connecting with a great SCORE mentor and learning a lot from the many sessions. My favorite session so far was Brand Strategy by Roslynn 

A big accomplishment for 610 Smokehouse during this summer is getting connected to the VP of purchasing for Sysco Foods to discuss potential grocery distribution.
