Mathias Schlecht

Mathias is an experienced leader and entrepreneur spanning a 27-year career in the Energy sector. He currently is the President and CEO of ColdStream Energy, focusing on the development and commercialization of a new gas separation technology, capturing valuable NGL's while providing pipeline quality fuel gas to our customers in a cost-effective way. Prior to that, he served first as CTO and then CEO at Biota Technology, bringing together deep oilfield services experience with innovations in data science and biotech to support customers in optimizing lifting cost while reducing the environmental footprint. Before that he served at Baker Hughes for over 20 years in a broad range of leadership roles, including VP Technology Drilling & Evaluation, VP Drilling Services, Chief Engineer, VP Enterprise Technology, with deep experiences in operations and service delivery, technology development and commercialization, and global business leadership. Throughout his career he has been focused on understanding customer and market needs while driving business results through development and commercialization of differentiated products and service solutions. Mathias received his Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D) and Dipl.-Ing. (M.Sc.) degrees in mechanical engineering from the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, Germany.
