Kent Lucas
General Partner, non sibi ventures
Kent is general partner at non sibi ventures, a U.S.-based early-stage venture capital firm that invests in category defining startups with a focus on sustainability and industrial technologies. Most recently he was a venture partner at Next Gear Ventures, an Israeli-based venture fund.
Prior to forming non sibi ventures, Kent was founding partner of 30X LLC, a global technology advisory firm focused on innovation, disruption in mobility, smart cities, clean and industrial tech. He has served as a mentor to Techstars and ERA (Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator) and was head of business development at VectoIQ LLC, a New York based technology advisory firm where he led investments in several early-stage technology companies. He also served as Research Director for the largest Brazilian retail bank, XP Investimentos, S.A. where he focused on the food, farm and energy sectors. Early in his career, he was research analyst and vice president at The Capital Group where he personally managed over $1 billion in public equity assets across nine mutual funds in the manufacturing and automotive sectors. He started his career in fixed income at Citibank.
Kent holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
