Mr. Massie has over 40 years of experience in the energy, hydrocarbons and petrochemicals arena. It has included operations management, project management and product management as both an Owner and as an EPC Contractor. He has been in lead positions with upstream, midstream and downstream projects and operations including Gas to Liquids (GTL) and LNG liquefaction & regasification. He is well experienced in claims and international arbitration.
His executive leadership of an engineering & construction company and of a chemical manufacturing, packaging & distribution company provides a strong basis for advising the executives of numerous companies about projects and associated monetary risks of the opportunities.
Mr. Massie has developed numerous proprietary models for plant operating costs and project risk analysis (including both tactical and strategic risks). Having authored numerous project authorization requests (AFEs) for both large and mega projects, he has the understanding of markets, timing and project & operating costs associated with enterprise endeavors.
He has a strong technical background in the processes to produce hydrogen, hydrocarbons, monomers and polymers. Mr. Massie has been on the forefront of integrating new technology into existing and new commercial facilities. He understands what it takes to bring ideas into reality.
