Nancy Zakhour
Board Member, PERMA-PIPE
Nancy Zakhour is an energy executive, board member, founder, and advisor with experience spanning renewable energy, oil and gas, investment banking, and strategic growth across U.S. and international markets. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PPIH) and advises companies across the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
Ms. Zakhour has held leadership roles across the full energy value chain, including commercial strategy, business development, project development, and technical operations. She previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Clean Energy Services, where she helped grow the company from the ground up into a leading BESS and utility-scale solar lifecycle-services business. In that role, she built the BESS commercial model, led contracting, business development, marketing, operational project management, and helped position the company for its sale to FlexGen. She also serves as a Venture Partner at Ascent Energy Ventures and teaches as an MBA Lecturer at Rice University and the University of Houston-Downtown.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Zakhour was an Investment Banker in Piper Sandler’s Energy & Power group, advising on financial and strategic transactions. She also held senior commercial, technical, and operational roles at Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, Occidental Petroleum, Callon Petroleum, and Schlumberger, with experience across CCUS, direct air capture, drilling, completions, production engineering, and international field operations.
Ms. Zakhour holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut and an MBA from Rice University. She is a recipient of the SPE Regional Completions Optimization and Technology Award and Hart Energy’s 40 Under Forty Award, and has authored more than a dozen technical publications.
