Matt Hill

Matthew Hill is a Senior Investment Manager at Equinor Ventures, focused on minerals, power, and e-SAF. He has 40 years of experience across operations and development in the energy industry, including 13 years with Equinor. Hill works with founders to scale industrial technology businesses, with an investing lens centered on commercialization and project execution at scale. He has led Equinor’s initial and follow‑on investments in Syzygy Plasmonics, Sapphire Technologies and Electric Hydrogen, and represents Equinor investments in Mainspring Energy and Upwing Energy. Hill holds engineering degrees from New Mexico Tech and the University of Houston and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
