Leo Pirela

As CEO and President, Leo is accountable for the company’s strategy, purpose, and vision as well as for leading all aspects of the company’s operations. He is focused on building an agile company, which combines its innovative technologies with the expertise of a diverse Board and Team to create economically attractive solutions for the Energy Transition.

Prior to joining StarRotor, Leo spent 30 years on strategy, deal-making, business development, product and services sales as well as managing operations across the value chain of the Energy Industry. He held senior leadership positions at Shell, Baker Hughes, Denbury, VPlus Energy, and Worley. Throughout his career, Leo has worked for Boards and Executive Teams of startups, middle market companies, and large corporations. He is a licensed engineer and holds a master’s in business administration from Imperial College London. He is also a business school alumnus of Stanford, INSEAD, Wharton and Harvard.
