Lackland Bloom is Managing Partner of Veritec Capital Partners, a private capital firm that is investing in early to mid-stage energy efficiency and decarbonization technology companies. Prior to starting Veritec, Lackland was an investment banker, advising energy companies on M&A transactions and capital raises. Over the course of his 23 year investment banking career, he served in leadership roles at J.P. Morgan, as Head of the Oil & Gas Investment Banking Group, and Deutsche Bank, as Head of the Houston Investment Banking Office. He later joined Guggenheim Partners to help build their Houston investment banking platform and ultimately their energy transition advisory practice. Over the course of his banking career, Lackland advised on ~$90 billion of M&A transactions and raised ~$30 billion of equity and debt capital for energy companies.
