John Reale

John S. Reale, Jr. (JR) is the Managing Director for Startups and Investor Engagement at the Rice Alliance. In this role, his mission is to provide leadership and shape a culture that helps founders access advantages to build the future. He will help us develop a founder and investor network at the Ion, building a founder advantage platform to strengthen and energize Houston’s innovation economy. 

JR joins the team with an open invitation to founders, investors, corporations, accelerators, community partners, and talent to be part of this reinvigorated venture acceleration infrastructure.

A longtime leader in Houston’s startup ecosystem, JR previously co-founded Station Houston and served as a Venture Partner at the Texas Medical Center. He is also the Managing Partner of Integrated Capital, an early-stage venture firm backing category-defining companies.
