Joey Bernica

Joey Bernica is a Director in the Investment Team where he focuses on growth equity stage investments in business that reduce, recycle and store greenhouse gas emissions from large industrial facilities and high-emitting sectors. Joey joined Climate Investment in 2021 and is a Board member at Elk Hills Carbon, Flare2Value and Trace Midstream. Prior to Climate Investment, Joey spent over 10 years in the upstream oil & gas sector in commercial and asset management roles, Joey was Vice President of Business Development at TRP Energy where he was responsible for acquisitions and asset management. Prior to that, Joey worked on the Global Business Development team at Murphy Oil and the Applied Reservoir Engineering team at ConocoPhillips. Joey holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.B.A. from Rice University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Joey is based in Houston.
