Brian Iversen

Mr. Iversen is the Founder and Managing Partner of Cimbria Capital.
He resides in Houston, Texas and in Odense, Denmark.
CURRENT PROFESSIONAL ROLES
In his role as Managing Partner and owner, Mr. Iversen is Cimbria Capital’s lead investor and responsible for all investment and investor-related activities in the Water Economy, the firm’s sole investment focus. He is also responsible for the firm’s operations, team, and culture. Cimbria Capital is supported by more than one-hundred limited partners and has achieved an Internal Rate of Return of 25%+ to date.
Mr. Iversen is separately a founder and owner of Cimbria Consulting, a sister company to Cimbria Capital, offering pragmatic tools to capture economic value for small-to-medium-sized enterprises in agriculture, renewable energy, and in the water industry. Cimbria Consulting has served 80+ clients since its inception in 2017.
Mr. Iversen currently serves as Chairman of the Board of SWAN Systems, an Australian-based irrigation water tech software company. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of APX10 and H2O Shift, both Denmark-based water technology companies. He serves as a Board Member of Aganova, a Spanish water leak detection company. Mr. Iversen is also currently a member of the Board of Advisors of Tech Tour Water Tech, an independent organization committed to facilitating European innovation and investment in the water industry.

Mr. Iversen is an accomplished executive, manager, and private equity investor. He is a strong and dynamic leader, versatile, a challenger, and a natural and skilled critical and contrarian thinker.
With a highly international profile, Mr. Iversen is a cross-functional and cross-cultural leader with management experience in small and large corporations, in multiple countries and geographies, as well as in the military. He is an effective and deliberate communicator, and he excels as an educator, mentor, and has via his various professional experiences proven his operational and practical mindset.
PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL ROLES
Prior to founding the Cimbria Companies, Mr. Iversen became a specialist in private equity investing and portfolio company management at Riverstone Holdings (in New York City, NY), a joint venture partner of the Carlyle Group at that time. Mr. Iversen held a position as a Vice President at Riverstone where he was an investment professional focused on renewable energy as well as certain oil and natural gas services sectors. During his eight-year tenure at Riverstone, Mr. Iversen participated on and co-led specialized investment teams that invested and managed equity capital of approximately $2 billion into companies located in the Americas and Europe.
While at Riverstone, Mr. Iversen was a member on the team that defined, launched, and managed one of the world’s largest independent private equity funds dedicated exclusively to renewable energy investments (~ $4 billion). In this role, he worked closely with several senior global business and thought leaders in the finance and energy industries (Lord John Browne, Pierre Lapeyre, David Leuschen, Daniel Yergin, and others).
Mr. Iversen was previously the President and CEO of AG Global (Canada) where he led and managed a production and sales team in the organic and natural fertilizer industry. Mr. Iversen was appointed as the turn-around CEO to re-shape the company’s overall structure, value proposition, business plan, and team.
Most recently, Mr. Iversen served as Chairman of the Board of AMI Global, a US-based IIoT water tech company and as a Board Advisor at Slater Infrastructure Group (US), an engineering services company in the water industry. Mr. Iversen also served as the Chairman of Florida Design Drilling (US) and on the Board of Directors of VRC Technologies (US), AG Global Canada (Canada), Amaizeingly Green Value Products (Canada), Amaizeingly Green Products (Canada), Green Earth Fuels (US & Guatemala), Sustainable Oils (US), Patagonia Bioenergia (Argentina), Ensus (UK), ReEnergy Holdings (US), Frontier Drilling (US and previously Norway), and Seajacks International (UK). He also previously served as a Strategic Advisor for RODI Systems (US) and Micronic Technologies (US) and as a Venture Partner at Blue Bear Capital (US). Lastly, he previously volunteered on the Board of Directors of the Danish American Chamber of Commerce Southwest, a 501c3 organization.
EDUCATION & OTHER
Mr. Iversen received his B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, in finance from University of Central Florida. He received a Notable Knight Award from his alma mater in 2015. He served as a First Lieutenant in the Royal Danish Army for three years prior to coming to the United States in 2000. Mr. Iversen is a former soccer player who participated on University of Central Florida’s NCAA Division I soccer team and represented Denmark in 25 youth national team soccer games. Mr. Iversen is a citizen of both Denmark and the United States of America.
