Angela Bruneau, PhD

Angela Bruneau assumed the position of Regional Hydrogen Portfolio Manager for Chevron New Energies in September 2023. In this role, she is responsible for business line development and success through strategy shaping, portfolio prioritization and management, and through leadership of key initiatives including the public-private partnership HyVelocity Hub.

She previously served as Advisor to the President, Chevron Technology Ventures, an organization known as the onramp for innovation at Chevron. In this role Angela drove business performance and led strategic initiatives including development of Enterprise Lower Carbon Must Win Technology Challenges. Prior to this, she held diverse roles including in Research Lab Management and Technical Sales within Chevron Oronite, and R&D at ExxonMobil. The interface of technology, business, and change have been a theme of her work, which spans traditional and new energies businesses.

Angela holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of California Berkeley, a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from Cornell University, and an executive MBA from Washington State University.
