Adzmel Adznan

Adzmel co-founded Piva Capital with Ricardo after successfully launching PETRONAS Ventures, the corporate venture arm of PETRONAS. During his 10-year tenure, Adzmel was instrumental in developing PETRONAS’ Corporate Venture Capital unit, a new approach to augment the company’s efforts in future-proofing its operations by investing in cutting-edge technology across the new energy value chain. Prior to that, Adzmel held strategic planning and commercial roles, serving as development and subsurface specialist, developing strategies for Malaysia’s upstream petroleum sector. These included local industry development, strategic partnership arrangements, and a new fiscal model to prolong the economic lifecycle of Malaysia’s oil and gas assets. He started his career in the energy sector as a project development engineer and has held various engineering & technical roles within the industry.
