100 Energy Tech Ventures Selected for 2025 Energy Tech Venture Forum

HOUSTON – (Aug. 21, 2025) 100 innovative energy technology ventures from around the world have been selected to participate in the 22nd annual Rice Alliance Energy Tech Venture Forum (ETVF). The forum is a premier event for connecting energy innovators, investors, corporations, and the broader energy ecosystem.

This year’s forum, held September 18 at Rice University, serves as an anchor event for the 2nd annual Houston Energy and Climate Startup Week and will spotlight ventures driving advancements in industrial efficiency, robotics & AI, advanced materials and more.

Spanning nine countries and 19 states, these companies represent the cutting edge of energy innovation. The Energy Tech Venture Forum provides them with direct access to investors and corporate partners who can help scale their solutions. 50 have been selected to pitch during the event.

Included in the selection is Class 5 of the Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator, with these 12 startups presenting Demo Day pitches as they conclude their 10-week program.

The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, a nationally recognized leader in energy entrepreneurship and innovation, fosters the creation, growth, and success of startups and the commercialization of new technologies in Houston and beyond. Events individually organized by flagship support organizations, incubators, startups and, investors, are orienting around this week-long celebration of energy transformation built by Houston’s biggest champions.
