2011 Information Technology and Web Venture Forum

The Information Technology and Web Venture Forum, - December 8, 2011 will focus on new IT and web technologies. A call for entries is issued approximately two months prior to each event. Interested companies should submit a two-page executive summary to the Rice Alliance. An advisory board of industry leaders will evaluate the companies based on Technology innovation, market size, competition differentiation, business viability and management team. Five companies will be selected to present a 10-minute business plan, an additional 40-60 companies are invited to present a 90-second elevator pitch and all the participating companies may exhibit in the company showcase. 400-600 investors, entrepreneurs and successful business people will be in attendance to learn about, evaluate and network with the companies.

The Rice Alliance Technology Venture Forums provide emerging technology companies in the four areas of Life Science, Energy and Clean Technology, Information Technology and Nanotechnology, an opportunity to showcase their innovations before an audience of early-stage investors, venture capitalists and industry leaders. The one-day events also make available a comprehensive group of professional service providers to aid new companies in their growth.
